When is Vasant Panchami and Sarsawati Jayanti in 2024

Saraswati Jayanti is observed in the beginning of spring season on the day of Vasant Panchami. It is a well-known fact that Maa Saraswati s the goddess who is known for blessing individual with wisdom. She is also a symbol of purity and non-discrimination. It is also known that music is the blessing of Maa Saraswati, and she is the only one who has blessed the world with dialects and speech. Usually, as per English Calendar, Vasant Panchami falls in either the month of January or February.

In the year 2024, Saraswati Jayanti is celebrated on 14 February 2024 Wednesday,also Vasant Panchami too on this  day.

On the day of Saraswati Jayanti, the idol of goddess Saraswati is worshipped in many households. Apart from that, similar ceremonies are also done at various institutions and offices. Before praying Maa Saraswati, Kalsah is prepared and enshrined. After that Lord Ganesha and the nine planets are worshipped. After that, the worship of Maa Saraswati starts with MaaSaraswatiancham. During the worship, the idol of Maa Saraswati is bathed with Ganga Jal and offerings of Prasad, Garland, Vermillions and flowers are done. The Prasad is later distributed to all the devotees. Also, the devotees get teeka of Gulal on their forehead.

It is Maa Saraswati that brings wisdom, music, art and knowledge to an individual’s life. Praying Maa Saraswati on Saraswati Jayanti benefits an individual from her blessings. There was a fact that says, Lord Brahma created the world. Later, he felt silence on earth so he created Goddess Saraswati who blessed the entire world with art, speech and music which has removed boredom from this planet. The devotees of Lord Saraswati gets blessed with knowledge and also it bring creating thinking ability in an individual.

It was believed that on the day of Saraswati Jayanti, Lord Brahma has created Goddess Saraswati. The goddess was brought from consort of Lord Brahma. She was invoked with a motive to remove silence from earth and to bless the people of earth with knowledge so that they can cultivate themselves. Maa Saraswati has imparted every individual with speech. On this day parent of new born babies can try to make their baby speak (which is known as Akshar-Abhyasam), as this day might bless him with sweet voice. The worship of Goddess Saraswati also enlights the life of an individual with knowledge and removes lethargy and laziness.
