When is Ganesh Jayanti Puja 2024

Ganesh jayanti is observed in the month of Magha Shukla Paksha Chaturthi. On this day Lord Ganesha took birth on earth. The Jayanti is observed mostly in the Maharashtra, some parts of Karnataka and Goa. This Jayanti is also referred with name as Til Kund Chaturthi because on this day Prasad is made up of Til and sesame seeds. In the villages people make the idol of Lord Ganesha in canonical form either from sindhoor or from cow dung. On the fourth day people immerse the idol of Lord Ganesha in the water. People also observe fasts on this day to maintain name and fame in the society. People also believe that on this day, one should take the bath from water which is mixed with til or sesame seeds.

This year Ganesh Jayanti will be celebrated on 13 February 2024 Tuesday.

by placing the idol of Lord Ganesha in the house and then doing the pooja . Lord Ganesha is offered rice, two coconuts or bananas, betel leaves and betel nuts. After the Prasad id offered Abhishek is done using kumkum powder and the garlands are being offered. Afterwards the diya is lit and the mantra or pooja is recited in front of God so that the Lord Ganesha offers his blessings to devotees.

Lord Ganesha helps their devotees in many ways like if the couple is having problem in getting progeny then the Ganesha Pooja helps them to achieve it so that they can be blessed with baby. All the malefic effects from the life are also removed. Good health and education is also achieved and all the hurdles from the path of success are removed.

The significance of Ganesh jayanti is that all the malefic effects of the planet Mercury and Jupiter is being removed by the Lord ganesha. This helps to maintain peace and prosperity in life.
