AKSHAYA TRITIYA IN 2024
Akshaya Tritiya observed on the third lunar day of the Bright Half (Shukla Paksha) in the pan-Indian month of Vaishakha, holds religious significance for both Hindus and Jains. Akshaya Tritiya And Parashurama Jayanti in 2024
Lord Parashurama, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, holds a significant place in Hindu mythology. He is the son of Renuka and Rishi Jamadagni. He lived during the last Dvapara Yuga. First, he was named as Ramabhadra or Rama. He was completely devoted to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva delighted with his dedication, gifted him with a holy duty to free Mother Goddess from ills. God Shiva offers him a divine weapon (axe) known as Parashu. That is why; his name was changed from Rama to Parashurama.
Akshaya Tritiya And Mahabharata
According to Hindu myth, Lord Ganesha and Veda Vyas started writing the Spiritual Katha of Mahabharata on this auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya. Celebration of Akshaya Tritiya is initiated from the Golden Age (Satya Yuga).
Akshaya Tritiya And Krishna- Sudama
This legend is thought to be the most significant one, related to the Akshaya Tritiya. Lord Krishna had a friend named Sudama. He visited lord Krishna on the day of Akshaya Tritiya and the intention behind the meet was to get some financial help from Krishna.
Sudama was welcomed in a splendid way that made him feel more embarrassed. He bought only some beaten rice for his beloved friend Krishna. Krishna accepted the gift from his dear friend.
Being treated in such an inundated way, Sudama could not ask for any financial help from Krishna. At last, he came back to his home empty-handed. But when he returned, he saw his small hut turned into a big and beautiful palace and everything appeared remarkable. This was the blessing bestowed upon Sudama by Lord Krishna. After that, this day is celebrated as Akshaya Tritiya.
Gaja Puja: Akshaya Tritiya in 2024
Gaja Pooja and Gaja Dhanakarshana Pooja both are same. The word Gaja Means “Elephant”, and thus, elephants are worshipped in this pooja for attaining nourishment of richness and wealth in lives. Before starting Gaja Pooja, elephants get cleaned with water and then they are bejewelled in impressive attire. After this holy activities take place like offering flowers and sweets to the idol of elephants, etc.

On this fortunate day of Akshaya Tritiya Maa Sundra Maha Laxmi is worshipped. A minimum of nine Priests are mandatory to conduct Maha Laxmi Pooja. After completing the pooja and havan, 1008 names of Laxmi are chanted.
