When is Krishna Jayanti 2024  and Janmashtami ?

According to Hindu mythology Lord Krishna took birth on earth in order to save the humanity from all the evil effects. Therefore, people celebrate this day as Krishna Jayanti as Lord Krishna took birth on this day. Lord Krishna is considered to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Krishna took birth from vasudev and Devki but was brought up by Nand Baba and Yashoda . Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta describes the life of the Lord Krishna. Krishna Jayanti is celebrated on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Shraavana. To celebrate the birthday of Krishna all the temples and houses are decorated and the Krishna Palki is decorated and in the night Krishna is made seated into the palki and pooja is done to wish the Lord. Aarti is performed and afterwards prasadam is distributed among the devotees.

Krishna Jayanti and Janmashtami  date will be celebrated on 26 August 2024.

On this day people take bath early morning and then place the idol in pooja room in the curdle and the curdle is moved by the devotees in order to get blessings of the Lord. Then the diya is lit and flowers are offered in Lord’s feet. The pooja is performed and afterwards the bhog of curd with tulsi leaves, fruits are offered to devotees so that the soul becomes pure. The pooja of Lord Krishna requires full dedication and devotion. Devotees enchant the Lord Krishna name 108 times to get the peace of mind.

The Krishna Pooja is very beneficial as it helps to achieve the peace of mind and soul. It also helps the individual to win from the evil and to remove all the odd things of the life. Lord Krishna removes all the malefic effects of Rahu and Ketu from the horoscope of the individual. Krishna pooja helps the couples by removing the nisantandosha and increases the love between the couples.
