When is Hanuman Jayanti Pooja in year 2024

Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated in the month of Chaitra on the fifteenth day of Shukla Paksha in the commemorate the birthday of Lord Hanuman. Lord Hanuman is considered to be the devotee of lord Rama and helped him in destroying the asura Ravana. Lord hanuman is considered to be the symbol of strength and wisdom and trueness. On this day all the religious activities are started at dawn as Lord Hanuman was born at sunrise. On this day, people visit Hanuman temples to take the blessings of the Lord and also offer the prayers, sweets and garlands on the idol of Lord Hanuman. During the dawn, the idol of Hanuman is washed with the Gangajal, after that the Abhishek is done with sindhoor and the agarbatti and diya is lit in front of God and afterwards the bhog is done and the bhog prasadam is distributed among the devotees. A fast is also observed by the devotees from sunrise to sunset. Hanuman Chalisa is also recited on this day in order to commemorate Lord Hanuman.
